教学过程:
Step1: Vedio Watching
1. Watch a piece of CCTV show ---- Animal world
2. Teacher’s question: What can you see in the show? / If you want to see them, where can you go ?
Step2: Lead-in
1. Show Yan Cheng zoo to the students and the map of the zoo
2. Go into the zoo to know different kinds of animals.
Step3: Presentation
1. Show the pictures of different kinds of animals, ask the students to guess what they are.
Listen to the sounds of some animals, then ask them to guess.
2. ask the students to find some description words to describe these animals
3. present all the important new words, check if the students can remember them.
Step4: Guessing Game
One student will read a sentence for you, the other students guess what animal he is.
Step5: Listening & Speaking
1. Listen and check the animals you hear in the map
2. Pairwork: Make dialogues with the words in the box:
Step6: Listening
1. match the animals with the description words and the countries. 2. Listen again. Complete the conversation.
Step7: Activity
Prepare a dialogue about visiting the zoo, talk about the animals you know or you want to see.
